The Feb. 17 update to the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches rankings were released Monday. Three local teams have been staples in the weekly rankings update, and this week is no different.

Entering the final week of their regular season, the Sulphur Springs Wildcats come in at No. 10 for the second week in a row. Sulphur Springs fell two spots from No. 8 in the Feb. 10 update after losing to now No. 24-ranked Mount Pleasant. They have since answered back with a pair of wins. Sulphur Springs is currently 7-2 in district play with one game remaining. Their two losses have both come on the road.

The Saltillo Lions also enter their final week of the regular season, coming in at No. 17 for a third straight week. The Lions are currently undefeated in district play and have won 23 of their last 24 games. The one loss went to North Hopkins in their final non-district game of the year. Saltillo's final regular season game is on the road at Union Hill on Tuesday, Feb. 18. In their first matchup against Union Hill, the Lions won 66-39.

The Saltillo Lady Lions, who have completed their regular season and are currently waiting to see who they will play in the Area round of the playoffs, are ranked No. 11 for the third week in a row. The Lady Lions finished their season, going 10-0 in district play and winning their final 15 games, all by double digits. Earning a bye through the Bi-District round of the playoffs, the Lady Lions will face the winner of Throckmorton and Henrietta Midway.
