Bonnie Husfftetler, a Hopkins County cattle rancher, was presented the 2024 Betty Kunesh Legacy Award by The Art of the Cowgirl Foundation at Ryegate, Montana. The award reads, “Congratulations to Bonnie Huffstetler, the well-deserved 2024 Betty Kunesh Legacy Award recipient.

Sulphur Springs City Manager Marc Maxwell has come out firmly in support of Sulphur Springs ISD’s $157.15 million bond package. Maxwell spoke during the public forum portion of Monday’s regular meeting of the board of trustees.

Sulphur Springs ISD is going about providing information about the 2024 school bond proposal and May 4 election a little differently than the two previous attempts which failed to receive the necessary votes to pass.Information has been posted on the school district website, accessible by clicking on the '2024 Sulphur Springs ISD Bond' link on the district's main page, www.ssisd.net. The bond tab has several headers that can be clicked for additional information about the bond, including flyers, current campus conditions and 'Cat Facts.'
