    Holiday Drive Utility Work
Long Caption

A“hole”lot of utility work is under way on Holiday Drive at West Shannon Road Tuesday morning. City of Sulphur Springs Capital Construction Division is almost finished installing the new water line for the new water main on Holiday Drive. Once that’s finished, the crews will begin work putting down the new line for a new sewer main on Holiday Drive. This is a complete reconstruction project, like the College Street road improvement project that's been under way for quite some time. The College Street project started just off the square and had progressed to the Como Street intersection at the beginning of the month. The Como-College Street intersection wiill tbe a three-way intersection. The contractor had already begun working westward toward Rookson Street at the beginning of the month. At the present rate, the College Street project should be finished by June, Sulphur Springs City Manager Marc Maxwell told the City Council during the regular meeting on March 5.
