The following reports are based on arrests conducted with reports filed by Sulphur Springs and Hopkins County law enforcement from 5:30 a.m. Friday to 7 a.m. Tuesday and included:

Arrests on alcohol-related charges

A 56-year-old man from Broken Bow was arrested at 7:09 p.m. Sunday during a traffic stop at the Interstate 30 westbound rest stop at mile marker 111 on a charge of DWI second arrest. He was reportedly observed traveling at approximately 98 miles per hour in a 75-mph zone. During the stop, officers detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the vehicle’s interior. The man allegedly admitted to having consumed two beers that day. Officers reportedly observed him having slurred speech, bloodshot eyes and instability while standing. He was determined to be intoxicated and transported to CHRISTUS Mother Frances Hospital Sulphur Springs for a blood draw. Bond was set at $2,000, and he was released from jail Monday.

Transfers, warrants and other activity

Jason Paul Farris, 36, of Sulphur Springs was released from jail Friday on a $50,000 bond. He was booked in on a 2019 charge of possession of 4-200 grams of a Penalty Group 1 controlled substance.

Rodney B. Schneider, 54, of Fairborn, Ohio was released from jail Friday on a $50,000 bond. He was booked in March 16 on a charge of possession of 4-200 grams of a Penalty Group 1 controlled substance.

Jackie Lee Corley, 64, of Sulphur Springs was arrested at a Sulphur Springs motel at 3 p.m. Sunday on a warrant for a charge of false statement on theft of property $30,000-$150,000. Corley was spotted through a window of a motel room and was known to have the active warrant. Bond was set at $15,000, and he was released from jail Monday.

A 54-year-old Brashear man was arrested at 12:26 p.m. Monday at a residence on State Highway 19 south on a charge of criminal trespass. Deputies were dispatched to the residence in response to a welfare concern in which a caller believed the property owner was being held hostage. The man had been issued a criminal trespass warning and was not allowed to be on the property. He was taken into custody after the trespass warning was confirmed to be active. The man remained in jail as of press time Tuesday. No bond was set.

Mary Wooten, 28, of Hensley, Ark., was released from jail Monday on a $125,000 bond. She was booked in April 12, 2019 on charges of possession of more than 400 grams of a Penalty Group 1 controlled substance, tampering with or attempting to fabricate physical evidence with intent to impair an investigation and a Tarrant County warrant for possession of less than 28 grams of a Penalty Group 3 controlled substance.

Animal complaints

• Cow out on Interstate 30 east at mile marker 140 in Saltillo at 8:31 a.m. Friday;

• Bull calf with red halter out in the caller’s yard on County Road 2310 at 10:33 a.m. Friday;

• Report of chickens fighting and juveniles drinking on County Road 2383 at 4:07 a.m. Saturday;

• Report of a neighbor’s dog attacking kids. The caller stated the dog was shot but ran away on County Road 1138 at 9 a.m. Saturday;

• Llamas out on a man’s property on FM 69 north in Dike at 9:45 a.m. Saturday;

• Report of a large deceased dog near a truck at a Tarrant Street property in Cumby at 17:04 p.m. Saturday;

• Black calf out and trying to get back into the fence on State Highway 11 east in Como at 5:37 p.m. Saturday;

• Black and white cow with orange ear tag in the ditch eating grass on FM 1567 west at 7:57 p.m. Saturday;

• A man reported catching a dangerous bull and did not want the bull on his property on County Road 4703 at 10:53 a.m. Sunday;

• Report of a motor vehicle accident involving a motorcycle hitting a dog on FM 1537 in Mahoney at 3:13 p.m. Sunday;

• Report of a large swarm of bees in the front yard of a residence on FM 514 in Wood County at 5:37 p.m. Sunday;

• A woman reported her son got bit by a pit bull on Rains County Road 3319 at 12:12 p.m. Monday; and

• Two red cows out on County Road 3519 at 4:44 p.m. Monday.
