Shanna Spence featured speaker for NETWO

Award-winning author Shanna Spence will speak on “Amazon and Algorithms: What Authors Don’t Know” at the Northeast Texas Writers Organization on Feb. 13 at Herschel’s Restaurant in Mount Pleasant, beginning at 6 p.m.

Spence is a winner and finalist of the Living Now and The Beverly Hills book awards, respectively. She also is a “Bronze” winner in a book cover contest. Starting with poetry, Spence began writing at the age of 13. Her historical fiction The Encouragement Letters earned her an award in the young adult division, and she is currently working on her next historical YA fiction, The Caddo Stone. A nurse for more than 25 years, Spence is a wife and mother of two boys.
