The council unanimously certified the canvas.

Reynolds then administered oath of office and anti-bribery documentation to Simmerman.

Simmerman subsequently administered oath of office and anti-bribery documentation to Hardy and Lackey.

After opening the floor to nominations, Lackey was nominated by council member Betty McCarter to serve as mayor pro tempore. Council member Julie Morris seconded the motion, and Simmerman noted that motions for pro tem do not need a second. As there were no other nominations, Lackey was elected as Cumby's mayor pro tempore. Regardless, all council members acknowledged verbal support of Lackey by voting aye.

The council acknowledged that with the canvas, Cumby's Prop A immediately went into effect.

With no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 6:16 p.m.
