Demondre Deshawn Holiness, 23, of Dallas, was booked in on charges of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and evading arrest or detention with a motor vehicle after an alleged high speed chase at 6:08 p.m. on Monday evening near the 110 mile marker of I-30 eastbound, according to police reports.

After attempting to pull Holiness over for a routine traffic stop, Holiness allegedly evaded police and exited at Highway 67, abandoning the vehicle near the 1200 block of Kendal Lane, reports said.

Witnesses informed police they had seen Holiness exit the vehicle, and police further found Holiness’s phone was allegedly still linked to the car’s bluetooth system, police said.

Holiness was taken to jail, where he remains on $15,000 worth of bonds.
