FRISCO — Texas A&M University-Commerce in conjunction with the Southland Conference has announced the 202324 men's basketball conference schedule.

Heading into coach Jaret von Rosenberg's seventh season, A&M-Commerce placed fifth in the Southland last season. This season is the Lions' second in NCAA Division I and the Southland.

In a new conference format, the women's basketball teams will play on Thursdays and Saturdays, while the men's basketball teams will play on Mondays and Saturdays during conference play.

The Lions begin conference play at home against McNeese on Jan. 6 as the two teams meet for the first time since last season's SLC Tournament. A&M-Commerce closes out the first week at New Orleans on Jan. 8.

Houston Christian and UIW come to Commerce on Jan. 13 and Jan. 15, respectively, before heading to Southeastern on Jan. 20 and Lamar on Jan. 22.

A&M-Commerce closes out January at home, hosting the last two conference champions. Nicholls comes to town on Jan. 27 and defending conference champion A&M-Corpus Christi is in town on Jan. 29.

The Lions close out the first go-around of SLC play at Northwestern State on Feb. 3 and head to Mc-Neese on Feb. 5. New Orleans and Southeastern make the trip to Commerce on Feb. 10 and Feb. 12, respectively.

For the final road trip of the regular season, the Lions head on the road for four straight games. Heading to A&M-Corpus Christi (Feb. 17), UIW (Feb. 19), Nicholls (Feb. 24), and Houston Christian (March 2).

The regular season closes out at home against Lamar on March 4 and Northwestern State on March 6.

The Southland Conference Tournament is once again at the Legacy Center in Lake Charles, Louisiana, hosted by McNeese, and it runs from March 10 through March 13.
