The Sulphur Springs Lady Wildcats won their seventh straight game Friday by defeating the Dallas White Lady Longhorns 4-0 at Gerald Prim Stadium. The game’s outcome would be decided early on, as the Lady Wildcats dominated from the start and never let up, leading to another shut out.

Prior to the game, the Lady Wildcats celebrated their nine seniors: Kylie Clarke, Zoe Crump, Kendall Ferrill, Beida Palomino, Annaston Price, Emma Romero, Addison Schubert, Haylee Shultz, and Anna Williams, as they celebrated Senior Night.

The first half saw the Lady Wildcats assert their dominance right away. It took less than four minutes for the Lady Wildcat to get on the board, when Rowan Faircloth scored a goal with 26:09 remaining in the half, giving Sulphur Springs a 1-0 lead.

Five minutes later, the Lady Wildcats scored again when Shultz scored a goal with 21:10 remaining. This increased the Lady Wildcats’ lead to 2-0.

For the next few minutes, both defenses began playing well. Soon after, Faircloth scored her second goal of the game with 15:29 left in the half, bringing the score to 3-0.

Seven minutes later, Williams scored a goal with 8:21 left in the half, bringing the score to 4-0. The rest of the half was scoreless, as the Lady Wildcats carried their lead into halftime.

The second half didn’t see any scoring, as both defenses kept the offenses at bay. This allowed the Lady Wildcats to cap off a 4-0 win.

Faircloth led with two goals, while Shultz and Williams scored one goal each.

With the win, the Lady Wildcats improved to 19-3 on the season. They resumed action Monday, welcoming the Pittsburg Lady Pirates to Gerald Prim Stadium.
