Hopkins County voters will have one more opportunity to head to the polls Tuesday, Jan. 30 to votes for anew Texas House District 2 Rpresentative.
Republicans Brent Money and Jill Dutton are running to fill the remainder of the term for the currently- vacant Texas House District 2 seat. The two candidates had the most votes in the November eletcion to fill the seat which Bryan Slaton resigned from early last year, but neither had over 50%, resutling in a run-off.
The special run-off election for the House District 2 seat will be held Tuesday, Jan. 30. Polls will be open Election Day from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at 12 polling locations located throughout the county.
Registered voters may cast balllots for their choice for HD-2 at any of the voting center, which include:
Precinct 1 — Lutheran Church Front Foyer, 1000 Texas Street, Sulphur Springs;
Precinct 2A — H.W. Grays Building Meeting Room, 413 Beckham Street, Sulphur Springs;
Precinct 3 — Hopkins County Courthouse 1st Floor Courtroom, 118 Church Street, Sulphur Springs;
Precinct 3A — Paris Junior College Sulphur Springs Campus Room 101A, 1137 TX-301 Loop, Sulphur Springs;
Precinct 4 — Hopkins County Civic Center West Hall, 1200 Houston Street, Sulphur Springs;
Precinct 4A — League Street Church of Christ Front Foyer, 1100 South League Street, Sulphur Springs;
Precinct 5 — Saltillo ISD Ag Lab, 150 County Road 3534, Saltillo;
Precinct 11 — Cumby Municipal Building City Meeting Room, 100 E. Main Street, Cumby;
Precinct 12 — Sulphur Bluff ISD Foyer Outside Gym, 1027 County Road 3550, Sulphur Bluff;
Precinct 13 — Como-Pickton CISD Art Room, 13017 State Highway 11 East, Como;
Precinct 16 — Miller Grove ISD Foyer outside gym, 7819 FM 275 South, Cumby; and
Precinct 17 — North Hopkins ISD Administration Building, 1994 FM 71 West, Sulphur Springs.
