Sulphur Bluff to hold Homecoming Friday

Six Sulphur Bluff seniors have been selected as Homecoming Court nominees for King and Queen, and the final results will be announced Friday during at halftime of varsity boys game against Union Hill.

The nominees for queen are:

Angellina Leilani-Tatiana Brown, 17, is the daughter of Sarona and James Brown. She competes in cross country, volleyball, basketball, track, golf, softball, and Brown is a member of FCCLA and FFA. She is also a Beta Club officer, class officer and a member of the National Society of High School Scholars. Brown expects to attend Tyler Junior College before transferring to Central Christian University and aims to be a physical therapist assistant.

Dalena Dona di Donato, 17, is the daughter of Diana di Donato. She competes in cross country, volleyball, basketball, track, golf and softball, and Donato is a Beta Club and FFA member. She is also the president of FCCLA and class reporter. Donato looks to attend any junior college, and then transfer to University of Texas at Tyler to earn a bachelor’s degree in zoology. She also hopes to play college volleyball.

Ann Dorner, 17, is the daughter of Brian and Dana Dorner. She competes in volleyball, basketball and track, and along with being the class treasurer, Dorner is a member of the Beta Club, FCCLA and FFA. She plans to attend Paris Junior College to study nursing.

The nominees for king are:

Eli Ham, 18, is the son of Beverly and Russell Ham. He competes in golf, and Ham is a member of the Beta Club and is a FFA officer. Ham expects to attend Paris Junior College to earn a degree in computer information systems and enter into an IT career.

Trayton South, 17, is the son of Tyler and Tressie South. He competes in basketball, baseball, cross country and golf, and South is the Beta Club vice president. South plans to attend Blinn Junior College and Texas A&M-College Station to earn a master’s degree in finance, and he wants to enter into real estate and investing.

Ryan Vance, 17, is the son of John and Cathy Vance. He competes in basketball, baseball, golf and track, and Vance is the president of his class, FFA and Beta Club. He plans to attend Texas A&M-College Station to study to be an architectural engineer.

The varsity girls game begins at 5:30 p.m. Friday, and the varsity boys will play at 7 p.m.
