The non-profit meeting is free and open to the public.

Attendees come from all over Texas and several states. Services begin at 7 p.m., Monday-Friday, with special events daily, including a golf tournament, picnic, a Ladies Bible Study and other special events. A Gospel Concert that will appeal to all ages will be presented in each service by award winning, nationally known groups who are heard daily on radio across America. There will be one speaker each evening.

Everyone is invited, regardless of religious affiliation, to attend each service of the Camp-meeting. You do not have to be Baptist to attend this meeting. There is no charge or registration, but a free-will love offering will be received to cover the costs of this week-long event.

The East Texas Baptist Campmeeting/Revival is presented by Edgewood Evangelist Dennis Erwin, founder and moderator of this meeting and hosted by the music group, The Erwins, who serve with their dad in Evangelistic ministry across the nation.

Based out of Lake Fork Baptist Church, the Erwins have become one of the most popular family groups in all of Southern Gospel music on a national level. This group of siblings, Keith, 26, Kody, 25, Kristopher, 22, and Katie, 18, are singing in some of the largest Gospel music venues in America and Canada.

This award-winning group sings annually on the “Main Stage” at the National Quartet Convention in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, which has a daily attendance of more than 15,000. 18-year-old Katie was recently nominated as a Top 10 Finalist for “Favorite Soprano” in all of Gospel Music and the group was nominated as a Top 10 Finalist for “Favorite Mixed Group” out of all other groups in the industry. The Erwins were honored to sing at the Dove Awards and have appeared on numerous Christian TV programs. They sing in concerts across the nation in churches and in venues such as Dollywood and Silver Dollar City in Branson. They record with StowTown Records along with other StowTown artists, The Collingsworth Family, The Perrys, Triumphant Quartet, and Ernie Haase and Signature Sound.

On Thursday night, the nationally acclaimed and award-winning soloist Joseph Habedank will be making his second appearance at the East Texas Baptist Campmeeting. He was named, for the second year as “Gospel Music Soloist of the Year.”

Campmeeting founder, Evangelist Dennis Erwin stated, “Joseph Habedank is a Grammy nominated and Dove Award winning artist. He has written many No. 1 songs in Gospel music and is one of the most popular singers in Gospel music today. This is a very unique opportunity for the people of Canton to come hear this gifted singer who is loved across America.”

Also singing that week will be the award-winning Rochester Family from Blacksburg, South Carolina. On Friday night, The Bowlings will be making their first appearance at the Canton Civic Center. This family also has had numerous No. 1 songs on national charts and sing in the largest concerts and churches all across America.

The preachers for the week are Dr. Robert Jeffress, Dr. Paige Patterson, Dr. Herb Rea-vis, Evangelist Mark Thrift and Dr. Ronnie Barefield.

On Tuesday evening, Dr. Jeffress will be the featured preacher. Dr. Jeffress is the Senior Pastor of the 13,000-member First Baptist Church of Dallas and is heard daily on world-wide television and radio on his broadcast entitled “Pathway to Victory.” He often appears on Fox News Channel and other news venues as an invited guest to discuss cultural issues and news stories from a Biblical and Christian perspective.

On Monday evening, Dr. Herb Reavis, who is pastor of the 3,000-member North Jacksonville Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Florida will be the first preacher of the week. Dr. Rea-vis spreads the Gospel, not only in his church, but on a syndicated Christian television program entitled “Reach Out,” which is viewed across American and around the world daily.

For the first time at the East Texas Baptist Campmeeting/ Revival, Dr. Paige Patterson will be preaching. He is known nationally and around the globe. He twice was elected as president of the 14 million-member Southern Baptist Convention and has served as president of two seminaries owned by the Southern Baptist Convention, most recently serving as president at the Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, which is the world’s largest Seminary.

Campmeeting founder, Evangelist Dennis Erwin stated, “Each of these men has impactful ministries reaching across America and around the world. Their combined years of ministry represent over 250 years of faithful Bible preaching and service. They will proclaim the word of God, with revival passion, in the power of the Holy Spirit.”

The doors open each evening at 5:30 p.m. with a special “Pre-Service Music Festival” featuring various Gospel music artists and the service begins at 7 p.m., Monday-Friday.

“My prayer is that this revival meeting will have a profound impact on Canton and Van Zandt counties. We are in desperate need of a God-sent revival in this nation, and we are praying for God to move in these services. I invite everyone to join Christians from across Texas and several states to come to the Civic Center, July 15-19,” stated Erwin. “Because we are expecting over 1,000 people each night that week, I invite you to bring your own comfortable chair to the meeting.”
