Miller Grove ISD is hosting King of Sports Championship Wrestling on Saturday, April 13.

KOS has partnered with Miller Grove to generate funds for several student organizations. King of Sports has a long legacy of helping schools in Northeast Texas raise funds from everything from Beta Club, Student Council, band trips, and athletic departments. KOS strives to bring a fun, family friendly night of mat wrestling at every single event. Miller Grove promises to be no exception.

King of Sports Championship Wrestling was created as the brainchild of a group of educators and PTO members. Originally based in Sherman, Texas, KOS has expanded to become the premiere professional wrestling company in all Northeast Texas. Hosting over 20 events annually in schools from Dallas to Texarkana and Sherman to Tyler, the KOS expansion has been bene- ficial not just for wrestling fans, but students as well.

King of Sports wrestlers often visit partner schools to deliver motivational talks, anti-bullying campaigns, and the excitement of larger-than-life stars.

Xavier Gotti, an excited young wrestler from San Antonio, frequently shares his story of overcoming school challenges with students, inspiring them.

Ryker James, who is an educator himself in an area high school, motivates students to push themselves to achieve success.

King of Sports Wrestling Alliance Champion, Nobe Bryant, who defends the KOS Alliance title across North America, is the most popular wrestler among KOS fans. His unique brand of encouragement and hope reminds audiences of the best days of Hulkamania.

The voice of KOS, Kyber O’Sullivan, stated during a recent interview, “What makes KOS so different is that we are a throwback. We remember wrestling when it was the Von Erichs and the Funks. That is what KOS is all about. That we get to do this and help schools is just awesome!”

This throwback mentality is felt throughout every single KOS event. Matches are sanctioned, rules are enforced, and there are multiple call backs to wrestling from the 1970s and 80s.

“Attracting cross-generational fans is something that KOS takes pride in achieving,” O’Sullivan continued, “Having an event that grandparents can take their grandchildren to is a goal for us.”

King of Sports Championship Wrestling prides itself on being “a first-class sporting event.”

Tickets may be purchased at Miller Grove ISD or at koswrestling.com. Doors open at 6:30 pm on Saturday, April 13, with a bell time of 7 p.m. Front row, ringside, and general admission tickets are still available but going fast.

King of Sports is “the nonpareil of professional wrestling.”
