Growing up in a military family and then going on to serve in the military has given me the pleasure of living in numerous cities in the world. However, the one place I have always connected with and felt at home has been Sulphur Spring, Texas. I graduated from Sulphur Springs High School in 2002 and went on to join the Air Force and had the privilege to serve for 17 years. Once I had a family, I knew that Sulphur Springs was the community I wanted my family to be a part of. My goal for serving on the SSISD School Board is to aid in giving our students and staff the best chances of excelling academically and providing the best learning experience for all students. Our school district had numerous achievements over the last few years. I am proud of all our student's and staff's accomplishments with the resources at hand, and we can build on that momentum. In addition, we can continue to improve our schools and build a bond with the community, so everyone is included in the success and achievements of our district.
