The “Kids Trout Fishing Event” will begin at 9 a.m. at our Kids Fishing Pond at Cooper Lake State Park South Sulphur Unit. Please park at park headquarters and staff will direct the trout fishermen to the pond. A park educator and park rangers will be assisting and teachin, plus providing loaner fishing gear and bait. Feel free to bring your own. There is a five trout limit per person per day. No fishing license required. Kids 12 and under will be admitted free. Adults pay $5 for the day. For adults to fish without a license at this opening day event, they must bring a kid! Enjoy and happy fishing!

The Snowflake Campaign by the Hopkins County Health Care Foundation is now underway, to last through the first week of January 2023. To date, several snowflakes are already alighting on the windows of the hospital lobby.
