Pink Power Quilt for Gala 2024

Local quilter and breast cancer survivor Linda Taylor recently presented a pink-themed quilt to Kayla Price, executive director of the Hopkins County Healthcare Foundation. The quilt was displayed at the Lone Star Heritage Quilt Guild Show in September 2023.

Police seeking information regarding missing teen

Sulphur Springs Police Chief Jason Ricketson at 10:20 a.m. Friday put out a request for anyone who has video cameras outside, such as a doorbell camera, that might have recorded footage from the 600 block of Woodlawn Street between 8:30 and 10 a.m. Dec. 6, to please contact the Sulphur Springs Police Department at 903-885-7602 so it can be reviewed for clues or information that might help locate a missing youth.

Souper Bowl of Caring returns

Each year, 4-H groups across the state of Texas host the “Souper Bowl of Caring” event. In 2022, over 500 pounds of food were collected during the campaign.

Meet Larry, the Sulphur Springs Animal Shelter Pet of the Week. Larry is a fourmonth old mixed breed who has grown up in the shelter with his sister, Curly Sue. Larry is a bit more outgoing than his sister and just a little bigger, but still a cute size. He is fully vetted and microchipped and ready to have a family.
