Local quilter and breast cancer survivor Linda Taylor recently presented a pink-themed quilt to Kayla Price, executive director of the Hopkins County Healthcare Foundation.

The quilt was displayed at the Lone Star Heritage Quilt Guild Show in September 2023.

Afterward, Taylor decided to donate the pink quilt to Hopkins County Health Care Foundation to be used to help raise funds to assist in meeting the needs of local breast cancer fighters.

Taylor's pink quilt will be among the silent auction items those attending the upcoming Gala may bid on.

Proceeds from the quilt as well as other auction items, are desigmated to be used for “In My Closet,' a room within the Health Care Foundation office in CHRISTUS Mother Frances Hospital-Sulphur Springs hospital. The room is filled with wigs, hats, caps, and prosthetics available to women undergoing breast cancer treatmen at no cost. Look for the quilt during the Gala, set for Jan. 27, at Hopkins County Regional Civic Center.
