Haire posts 18 points in debut

DALLAS - The Sulphur Springs Wildcats traveled to Dallas Tuesday to face Dallas Lincoln. The Wildcats were looking to pick up a win after dropping a pair of games to McKinney Boyd and Sherman.

The Wildcats were able to pull out the road victory, defeating Dallas Lincoln by a final score of 60-47. Sulphur Springs has now won by double-digits in each of their wins. The Wildcats have yet to lose a game by double-digits this season.

Junior Justin Haire got his season off to a hot start, leading the team with 18 points in his season debut. Just behind Haire was senior guard Boo Wilkerson. Wilkerson had 13 points, after finishing in double-digit points in his first two games.

Sophomore Kordrick Turner was next, finishing with nine points. Just behind Turner were senior Lamodrick Johnson and junior Caleb Alexander who had eight points and seven points respectively.

Junior Cason Arrington and senior Malique Cole each scored for the Wildcats as well. Arringotn finished with three points while Cole finished with two points.

The Wildcats improved their record to 2-3, picking up their first win since Nov. 17 when they defeated North Lamar by a final score of 85-28.

Sulphur Springs returns to play Tuesday when they travel to Rockwall and will return home Friday to host Forney at 7 p.m. The Wildcats have a pair of road games the following week and will return home again Saturday, Dec. 12 to host Mesquite Horn at 4 p.m.
