Hopkins County had two athletes tabbed for the Academic All-State team: Como-Pickton’s Kevin Hernandez and Cumby’s Lilly Campbell. Both students were named to the Honorable Mention team.

To be eligible for the Academic All-Star team, student must meet the following criteria: must be an athlete, student trainer, or manager in good standing with their team, of good moral character, a senior, and have an overall grade point average (GPA) of 92 or above.

Both players recently earned First-Team All-District honors for their play on the court, and add on another accolade to their list of accolades recieved in their high school basketball careers before graduation in May.
