Sulphur Springs | Eighth Grade Football

The Sulphur Springs Wildcats lost twice in eighth grade home football action Tuesday against Mount Pleasant. In the B game, the visiting Tigers won 16-6 over the Wildcats. Sulphur Springs scored on a 8-yard run by Garrett Robinson. In the A team game, Mount Pleasant took a 29-8 victory. Trenton Lane scored three times for the visitors to lead the Tigers to the win. The lone touchdown for the Wildcats came on a 45-yard keeper by quarterback Brady Driver in the third quarter. Driver also scored the 2-point conversion run. Austin Chaney and Devon Cork had interceptions, Jackson Horton added two sacks. The teams play Tuesday, Sept. 17 in Lindale. The B game begins at 5:30 p.m. and the A team will follow.
