Lady Cats lose 3-1 to rival Greenville

GREENVILLE — The Sulphur Springs Lady Cats dropped a key district volleyball game at Greenville Friday, Oct. 4 in a spirited four-set battle.

The Lady Cats fell 19-25 in the first set but regrouped to win, 25-20, tying the match at 1-all.

The Lady Lions took the third set, 17-25, and were able to hang on to edge Sulphur Springs, 24-26, to win the deciding set.

The Sulphur Springs junior varsity won in three sets by scores of 25-16, 23-25 and 25-20.

The Sulphur Springs freshman team won, 25-14 and 25-14.

All three teams will be home action Tuesday against Mount Pleasant. The junior varsity and freshmen start at 5 p.m. with the varsity contest to follow at 6:30 p.m.
