COMMUNITY — The Sulphur Springs Lady Cats picked up a 2-1 win at home against Community Friday night in their preseason finale.

Rebekah Stanley scored the first goal of the night on an assist from Janine Yamaguchi. Haley Robinson followed her with an unassisted goal, helping Sulphur Springs win 2-1.

“It was a good game tonight. We had a lot of shots on goal but couldn’t score.” Coach Javier Aguayo said. “Other than that, the girls had fun and played very well offensively and defensively.”

The Lady Cats start district play on Tuesday night at home against Greenville. JV starts at 5:30 p.m. with the varsity to follow.
