WHITEWRIGHT , Tx — The No. 24 Sulphur Bluff Lady Bears hard their three-game winning streak ended Friday following a four-set loss to the Whitewright Lady Tigers. After falling behind early, the Lady Bears were unable to erase the deficit, leading to the loss.

The first set would be a high-scoring one, with both teams fighting hard. The Lady Tigers would win the first set 25-20, establishing the lead.

The second set would be more of the same, as both teams continued their strong gameplay. The Lady Tigers won the second set 25-17, extending their lead to 2-0.

With their backs against the wall, the Lady Bears would step up their gameplay in the third set, determined to keep the game going. The Lady Bears would win the third set 25-21, trimming the score to 2-1 and forcing a fourth set.

The fourth set would see the Lady Tigers fake their game to a new level, as the Lady Bears simply couldn’t stop them. The Lady Tigers would win the fourth set 25-11, capping off a four-set win.

With the loss, the Lady Bears fell to 13-15 on the season. They resumed action Tuesday, welcoming the Simms Bowie Lady Pirates to Sulphur Bluff High School.
