CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. — Four Texas A&M University- Commerce women's golfers have earned Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-America Scholar honors.

Michelle Becker (San Antonio – Reagan) has earned the honor for the third time in her Lion career, while sophomore Jordan Dusckas (Flower Mound Marcus) as well as freshmen Marie Naeher (Neuenbuerg, Germany) and Henriette Stranda (Kraakstad, Norway) earned the honor for the first time.

Becker also earned College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honors and was named to the dean's list as well. She appeared in nine tournaments last season, recording four top 30 finishes.

Dusckas, like Becker, was also named to the CSC Academic All-District team. Along with being a dean's list honoree, she played in 27 rounds last season.

In her freshman season, Naeher was named to the dean's list as well, while appearing in 27 rounds. Stranda earned all-Southland Conference Tournament honors and two top 15 finishes during the season.

This is the second straight season that the Lions had four honorees. Around the country, 1,401 women's golfers were recognized from 378 programs.

To be selected, a student-athlete must:

• Have an overall cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher.

• Be an amateur and on the team's roster through the conclusion of the team's season.

• Have played in 50% of the college's regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year, and be nominated through the team's conference championship.
