There was no report last week because my lovely wife and I were enjoying Mardi Gras in New Orleans. And, wow, what an experience! So, we will do a little catch-up this week. The team standings reported below are current as of Feb. 14. The various leagues divide the season into quarters or halves. The standings reported below reflect the current marks, not the overall season. Honors scores are reported for the previous two sessions for each league.

Three teams are rising to the top in the Thursday Commercial League. Graham International, Rollin’ Dirty and Dirty Hands E are knotted in first place with 15- 5 records. The standings are beginning to settle out as Wilson’s Proformance and Keeping It PG are the only other teams with records above .500. JP’s Classic Lanes General Manager Tarry Davison, bowling with Graham International, smashed a 268 to lead the men’s high game on Feb. 1 and Keeping It PG’s Tristen Painter unloaded for a 289 on the 8th. Grip-N-Rip’s Victor Arcos put together three consistent games to score a 736 series on the 1st and Shayne Wilson performed admirably for Wilson’s Proformance on the 8th, scoring a 737 series. Money B’s Brooke McClure paced the ladies on the 1st, firing a 211 game and 536 series. Another familiar name, Kyra Jenkins, took all the honors for the ladies on the 8th with a 224 game and 587 series.

The standings in Sunday’s This Ain’t Yo Momma’s Bowling League are also beginning to take shape, with three teams in commanding positions. Full Throttle leads with a 43-21 record, followed by Adriana’s Boyz at 41-23 and The 4 T’s sporting a 3826 mark. Familiar names again appear in the honor roll. Amanda Gunnels rolling on the Classic Crazies quartet crashed a 237 to lead the ladies on Feb. 4 and Trainwreck’s Mini Me’s Brooke McClure scored a 592 series to top the ladies. Kyra Jenkins, on the appropriately named Jenkins & Company squad, classed the ladies with a 235 game and 593 series on the 11th. Classic Crazies’ Shayne Wilson topped the men on the 4th with a 248 game and Adriana’s Boyz’s Kelly Shields fired a 673 series. Sisco Zarco of Adriana’s Boyz scored the men’s high game on the 11th, blasting a 258, and Shayne Wilson was atop the men’s scoring with a 684 series.

It’s early in the reset to predict how the competition will go in The Monday Trio League, but three teams are making a break from the pack. Spare Me leads with a 12-4 tally, followed by WWM and the Odd Ones, both at 11-5. Familiar names again lead the scoring in this league. Spare Me’s Debby Essary had two great weeks, leading the ladies on both the 5th and the 12th. Her game scores were 237 and 222, and the series totaled 665 and 590. WWM’s Doug Williams lit up the lanes on Feb. 5, tossing a 249 game and 659 series to lead the men. David VanSickle, bowling with the Fun Bunch three, crashed a 269 game and 681 series to top the men on the 12th.

Two teams continue to dominate the Tuesday Mixed League: Cletus’ High Rollers with a 17-7 standing and the Strikers at 16 ½-7 ½. Money B’s Tarry Davison again came through big, smoking a 266 game and 710 series to lead the men on Feb. 6. Sisco Zarco on the Carrie’s Gang team paced the men on the 13th, shooting a 249 game. The Strikers’ Steve Edwards rolled a 611 on the 13th to lead the men’s high series. Carrie Shields of Carrie’s Gang fired a 227 to lead the ladies on the 6th and Kyra Jenkins on the Odd Ones squad scored a 600 even. Amy Austin, bowling with Cletus’ High Rollers, was rolling high on the 13th, scoring a 229 for ladies’ game honors and Katelyn Shields was the pride of Irish Pride’s squad and the ladies, firing a 580 series.

The Wednesday Senior League maintains its highly competitive spirit with eight of the thirteen teams having records at .500 or above. Pin Pals and We Usta are rising to the top at 17- 7 and 16- 8 respectively. S&P is close with a 15-9 mark and All In The Family and Livin’ On A Spare are sitting at 14-10. Mozelle Rutledge was mighty, rolling for Mighty Mo’s Bunch on Feb. 7, scoring a 194 game to lead the ladies. The Pin Pal’s Monica Graves scored a nice 508 series for ladies’ honors. The Parmer family is prominent at JP’s Classic Lanes and mom Pam Parmer, bowling on the Mine’s In The Gutter team, was anywhere but there, firing a 191 game and 543 series to take all the marbles on the 14th. Strike Force’s Robert Smith was on target on Feb. 7 with a 228 game to lead the men. S&P’s Billy Painter rolled three consistent games to score a 607 series. On the 14th Dave Gholson of the Men Folk blasted a 231 for game honors and Larry Stovall, also with the Men Folk, took high series with a 595.

Until next week, good luck and good bowling.
