HeretiredfromtheKansas CitySouthernRailroad,after manyyearsofservice. PhillipmarriedBarbara GentryinDeQueen,Arkansas, onSept.30,1977, andtheyhadonesontogether.

Phillip was a member oftheFirstBaptistChurch. Hewasalsoamemberof theSulphurSpringsMasonicLodge# 221,Eastern Star,R.A.M#63ofSulphur Springs,TheGideonsInternational, Veterans of ForeignWars(US),VietnamVeteransofAmerica Chapter#0278,National RifleAssociation(NRA), IBEW-pastMasterSulphur Springs Masonic Lodge #221andpastDistrictDeputy GrandMasterofDistrict 7.

He is survived by his wifeof46years,Barbara Darity;son,AnthonyDarityandwifeErin; andgrandchildren, ByrdandLake ofSanAntonio,Texasand alsosurvivedbysons,Cliff DarityandwifeSherryof Enid,OK,andMarkDarity ofEagleton,OK;sister,Pat JonesofPetal,MS;grandchildren, AshleyDarity,JacobDarity, ByrdandLake Darity,andKaylaDarity; great-grandchildren,Lucas andKeiferDarity,Bryleigh and Ryleigh Talley, and SylvanusRaub.Heisalso survivedbyJoeandSheila SheltonofSulphurSprings, Texas.

Phillip was preceded in deathbyhisparents,Walter andVirginiaDarity;sisters, VelmaWinshipandSharon Bohanan;andniece,Shawna Hughes.
