Funeral service for Frankie Lavon Millsap, 88, of Sulphur Springs, will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 13, 2019 at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with Tim Potts and Halston Potts officiating. Interment will follow at Greenview Cemetery with Jim Potts, Jace Potts, Halston Potts, Nathan Pruitt, Greyson Pruitt, Teddy Jennings, Eddie Price and Zach Potts serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Woody Garmon, Harrell Hettich and Larry Mill-sap. Visitation will be held at 1 p.m. prior to service time at West Oaks Funeral Home.
Lavon passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at Sulphur Springs Health and Rehab. She was born on Aug. 3, 1930 in the Greenview Community, the daughter of James Davis and Irene Model Gilley Potts. She married Johnnie M. Millsap on Feb. 18, 1949 in Dallas, TX. He preceded her in death. She worked as a system analyst for Texas Instruments for many years.
She is survived by sons Cletis Millsap and Dereald Millsap; daughters Sherry Millsap and Barbara Potts and husband Tim; grandchildren Jace Potts and Halston Potts; four great-grandchildren; brother Tommy Potts; and sisters Emmie Boney, Dora Smith, Sue Jennings and Gail Garmon.
She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents and sisters Francis Potts Nelson and Jimmie McGowan.
