Sulphur Springs golf teams took first and fourth places in Wildcat Invitational tournament play Monday, Oct. 14 at Sulphur Springs Country Club.

The Lady Cats were fourth overall with junior Mariam Tran carding a 71 as the low individual earning top honors. Other scores for the Sulphur Springs girls included senior Addison White with a 99, her first time to break 100; freshman players MyKylie Meador and Mattye Schmidt had scores of 119 and 122 respectively.

Senior Lady Cat player Charleigh Pott suffered a sprained ankle and had to withdraw from the tournament.

The Lady Cats will participate in the Wildcat Scramble Nov. 9, which is a fundraiser.

The Wildcats also played Monday at SSCC taking first place as a team., carding a 323.

Colton Bench was first place on the team with a 71 and low individual in the tournament. Other Wildcat scores were Kip Childress and Grant Mohesky, each with a 79; Rylan Brewer had a 94; and Caleb Kesting with a 101.

In other recent action, the Wildcats were second with a 346 team score on Oct. 10 at Thorntree Country Club in DeSoto.

Childress took first place in the event with a 71. Other scores were Bench, 81; Mohesky, 84; Kesting, 104; and Brewer, 115.
