TxDOT: Drainage, metal guard fence set for repair this week

Road Report 

PARIS — The Texas Department of Transportation announced road work for this week in Hopkins County. These schedules are subject to change due to weather conditions, equipment failure or other unforeseen issues, according to TxDOT.

From SH 19 to White Oak Creek along State Highway 11 in Hopkins County, watch for lane closures and short traffic delays as crews replace an existing drainage structure. Temporary traffic signals will direct traffic.

Also on SH 11 from 1.5 miles east of FM 3134 to 0.82 miles east of FM 2653, crews are scheduled to install perimeter signs for the upcoming overlay project. Motorists are advised to watch for lane closures and short traffic delays.

From the Titus County line to Hunt County line along Interstate 30 through Hopkins and Franklin counties, watch for lane closures and short traffic delays as crews upgrade a metal beam guard fence.

Through Hopkins County on FM 900 from I-30 to the Franklin County line, crews are scheduled to install drainage structures. Lane closures and short traffic delays can be expected.

Motorists are advised to remain alert and pay special attention to all signs, barricades and traffic controls, and reduce their speed as they approach and travel through work zones. They should also avoid distractions such as cell phones, eating, drinking, or car audio or navigation systems.
