Two arrested in connection with Freeman Street alleged stabbing

Sulphur Springs Police have arrested two in alleged connection with the stabbing that occurred earlier this month on Freeman Street. 

At approximately 8:47 p.m. on Aug. 26, SSPD took in Joseph Rashad Washington, 27, and booked him in on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. 

Additionally, SSPD took in Trondamion Andrezhel Cleveland, 28, on Aug. 26 on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. 

Reports of the Aug. 18 stabbing noted the crime occurred at approximately 12:36 p.m. in the 700 block of Freeman Street. The victim allegedly received stab wounds to his face from two black males, one wearing a du-rag, according to 911 dispatch. The victim was transported to the hospital and was able to speak to police, according to observers on-scene.
