Three arrested on alleged sex offense charges

HCSO deputies arrested three separate Hopkins County men yesterday on three separate warrants of alleged sexual abuse crimes against children, according to reports. 

Noe Negrete, 35, Shawn Michael Matheny, 25, and Ken Franklin Cabler, 54, were all taken in yesterday. 

At approximately 11:02 a.m., deputies located a vehicle being driven by Negrete near his residence on Farm Road 269 South, according to reports. Given that Negrete had an outstanding warrant for indecency with a child by sexual contact, deputies took him into custody without incident as he parked at his residence, reports said. He remains in jail on a $50,000 bond, according to records.

At approximately 1:53 p.m., deputies located Matheny at his Calvert St. residence and took him into custody without incident for an outstanding warrant for  indecency with a child by sexual contact, according to reports. He remains in jail on a $50,000 bond, according to records. 

At approximately 2:15 p.m., HCSO deputies became aware that Cabler was located at the HCSO lobby, according to reports. Deputies confirmed he had an outstanding warrant for sexual assault of a child and took him into custody without incident, reports said. He remains in jail on a $50,000 bond, according to records. 

HCSO Investigator Michael Russell stated that no further information is available at this time due to the ongoing nature of the investigation and to protect the victim or victims involved.
