Miller Grove cafeteria manager Connie Fisher (left) and school resource officer B.J. Bayuk delivered lunches to 67 of their students Friday. Of the 352 students at the school, most qualify for reduced cost or free lunch based on their family’s income level, according to Superintendent Steve Johnson.

With classes suspended during the coronavirus outbreak, Miller Grove staff have been delivering lunches to children in the school vans, over roads that are unpaved, flooded and muddy.

“I think it’s time for everybody to step up and be a leader, and right now that’s what it’s going to take,” Bayuk said.
