The following reports are based on logs documenting calls received by Hopkins County emergency communications staff from 5:30 a.m. Wednesday to 5:30 a.m. Friday.

Wednesday

11:31 a.m.: Deputies received a call from a woman stating she thought someone had broken into her house.

Thursday

1:39 p.m.: A woman reported someone ran a vehicle through her fence on FM 1870. The driver of the vehicle was not at the scene.

5:32 p.m.: A Cooper Lake State Park employee reported a subject came up to a residence and told them the “resident methheads” were out and to keep a gun close.

5:41 p.m.: Deputies received a report of harassment at a residence on State Highway 19 north. A woman reported a male subject had threatened her multiple times.

5:41 p.m.: Deputies received a report of a disturbance or family violence at a residence on State Highway 67 Business north. A woman reported her boyfriend was trying to beat her up and would not give any further information.

Hopkins County communications operators answered 662 non-emergency calls, 113 calls for service, and 79 emergency calls. For the period from 5:30 a.m. Wednesday to 5:30 a.m. Friday, officers filed three offenses, conducted three inmate transports between facilities and one funeral escort. Ten people were booked into and 16 released from county jail, which held 133 inmates at 5:30 a.m. Friday.
