Three men were arrested in the 1200 block of Main Street at 11:42 p.m. Wednesday on charges of burglary with intent to commit a felony and engaging in organized criminal activity.

Sulphur Springs police officers were dispatched to the residence in the 600 block of Lee Street in reference to a robbery. Four suspects had reportedly kicked in the back door of the residence and were brandishing firearms.

At the location, the alleged victim advised the four men pointed guns at the residents. One reportedly grabbed the complainant’s handgun and struck him in the head with the weapon. The handgun reportedly discharged, with the shot striking the wall. The suspects allegedly grabbed two cell phones and ran away.

The victim’s mother reportedly tracked the phone. Officers on scene advised other officers by radio that the phone was in the 1200 block of Main Street near the entrance to a mobile home park.

Officers reportedly observed Zadarion Christopher Swain, 19, of Paris; Zavier Ahamad Rollerson, 17, of Paris; and Dequenek Timothy Shepard, 20, of Brashear walking at the location. They called the victim’s cell phone, which was reportedly in Swain’s pocket.

All three men were taken into custody. No bond was set, and all three remained in custody Thursday afternoon, arrest and jail reports read.

A fourth subject, described as a white male, remains at large.
