The Captain David Philips Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution were visited Saturday by Hopkins County Judge Robert Newsom. The judge read and presented a proclamation announcing Sunday, Sept. 14 Uncle Sam Day and Monday, Sept. 14 Star-Spangled Banner Day. The DAR kicks off Constitution Week nation-wide beginning Thursday, Sept. 17.
