Road Report

PARIS — The Paris District of the Texas Department of Transportation announced planned work in Franklin and Hopkins counties for this week.

These schedules are subject to change due to weather conditions, equipment failure or other unforeseen issues.

On State Highway 11 in Hopkins County from State Highway 19 to White Oak Creek, drivers should watch for lane closures and short traffic delays as crews replace an existing drainage structure. Temporary traffic signals will direct traffic.

Along Interstate 30 in Hopkins and Franklin counties from the Titus County line to the Hunt County line, lane closures and short traffic delays are possible as crews upgrade a metal beam guard fence.

Also from I-30 to the Franklin County line on FM 900 in Hopkins County, crews will be installing drainage structures. Lane closures and short traffic delays can be expected.

Tim McAlavy, public relations for the area TxDOT, advises motorists to remain alert and pay special attention to all signs, barricades and traffic controls, and reduce their speed.
