The Hopkins County Health Care Foundation has been interested in impacting local men’s health as positively as they have women’s health. Due to the new Man Bingo, known as Mingo, the Foundation is well on its way to doing just that. Proceeds of this event will provide free heart calcium tests for Hopkins County men. Here is a bit about how the night will look.

Tickets include a bingo card packet, which allows a participant to play all 10 regular rounds of bingo, 1 adult beverage ticket, and 1 entry for door prizes. Also included in the ticket price is a Slaughter’s BBQ sandwich and chips and water. Available for purchase are additional game packets, extra game cards, and cards for the bonus games as well as additional drinks.

The additional game packets include one card for the 10 regular rounds of play. The beverage ticket can be used for a soda, beer or Old Fashioneds; and the entry for door prizes gives participants a chance to win one of several door prizes which will be drawn throughout the evening. If a participant really wants a particular prize, extra game cards would be the way to go. For the folks who want to play two more rounds of bingo or who want a chance at the two bonus round prizes, the bonus game cards are available.

Although bingo is the focus for the night, Foundation board members will be keeping an eye on the financial goal for the event. The more funds that the night brings in, the more Hopkins County men can benefit from free heart calcium tests. To make this new offering reality more sponsorships are needed. Sponsorships range from $250 to $2,500.
