Brandon Michael Stahl, 31, of Sulphur Springs was arrested at the Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office at 7:15 a.m. Thursday for a parole violation.

Stahl had reported to the HCSO for a parole hearing and was taken into custody after the parole officer advised Stahl had an outstanding warrant.

As Stahl was being escorted to the jail for booking, he reportedly advised the deputy he had a bottle of urine concealed on his person, which he had intended to use to pass a drug test that was also scheduled that day.

Stahl was additionally charged with falsification of drug test results. Bond was set at $1,000, and he remained in jail as of press time Friday.
