Still 'cool'

Ice Cube is back home.

Fifteen-year-old Cameron Cummings, a.k.a. Ice Cube, may not have won the World Pool-Billiards Association's World Junior 9-Ball Championship, but he's still pretty cool.

Following a relaxing 31-hour international flight from Dallas to Nicosia, Cyprus, Cameron got down to business quickly on Thursday. He knocked competitor Korea out of the tournament with a 7-4 win before going head-to-head Saturday with fellow Team USA player Joey Tate. Tate won that match 7-1.

Overall, Cameron finished 9-12 out of 24 players representing countries all over the world.

"What a wonderful experience it was to come overseas and see our son play and represent his country," said Cameron's dad, Jamie (a.k.a., Ice Man). "I want to thank everyone who supported Cube. The coaches and other Team USA members welcomed him with open arms. The coaches have high hopes of him coming back next year to represent the USA again. They said they were blessed to have him on the team, and were so amazed with his upbeat attitude and his never die mentality. We heard so many great things from people all over the world down here. We feel grateful for all the people back at home who have been so supportive."

Ice Man also special thanks the people who contributed to the Go-FundMe account to help with expenses for the family's trip. "We appreciate it so much," he said.
