Five Hopkins County jail inmates have received additional charges following a physical altercation that occurred at the jail last month.

Sheriff’s Investigator Wade Sheets announced Wednesday the five inmates allegedly attacked and assaulted two other inmates. One inmate was reportedly on the ground being kicked in the head and body. At one point, while the inmate was on the ground, other inmates were allegedly stomping on his head, causing it to hit the concrete.

These five inmates have each been charged with engaging in organized criminal activity “as they all five willingly participated in the violent assault of another inmate,” according to Sheets’s statement.

The five inmates include:

Raymond Antywan Larry III, 19, of Idabel, Oklahoma. He was originally booked in Dec. 10 on felony charges of trafficking of persons and engaging in organized crime. Larry allegedly spoke to and made arrangements to transport a Hopkins County minor to Oklahoma. He remains in custody on a $100,000 bond.

Mario Ladane Cozine, 29, of Greenville. He was booked in Oct. 25 on warrants for unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, assault on a family or household member with intent to impair breathing or circulation and Hunt County warrants. Cozine recently received a 20-year prison sentence in Hopkins County and was transferred to Hunt County, where he remains in custody.

Jakwaiviane Kentrail Goodson, 22, of Sulphur Springs. He was booked in July 20 on felony charges including sexual assault of a child, tampering with or fabricating evidence with intent to impair an investigation, obstruction or retaliation, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and engaging in organized criminal activity. Goodson remains in custody on a $440,000 bond.

Dequenek Timothy Craig Shepard, 20, was booked in Sept. 26 on charges of burglary of a habitation with intent to commit another felony, two counts of aggravated robbery and engaging in organized criminal activity. Shepard remains in custody on a $300,000 bond.

Zavarion Caymond C. Swain, 19, was booked in Sept. 26 on charges of burglary of a habitation with intent to commit another felony, two counts of aggravated robbery and engaging in organized criminal activity. Swain remains in custody on a $300,000 bond.

No further details are available at this time. All five inmates have been arrested and charged and are currently awaiting arraignment.
