Black-bellied whistling ducks (above) and a Canadian goose (right) share a watering hole Wednesday at a residence near Greenpond Missionary Baptist Church off FM 1567 just southwest of Como. The whistling ducks live up to 8 years old in the wild and mate for life. Canadian geese are migratory and tend the make the same stops in their annual journeys throughout their lifetimes, so the property owners will likely be seeing them again.
