Derek Bone, 34, of Cumby was arrested Saturday 7:48 p.m. on charges of aggravated assault or family violence, assault of family violence by impeding breath or circulation, and aggravated assault by family violence.
Bone reportedly engaged in a verbal argument that turned physical at 411 West Main Street with his significant other.
Bone allegedly placed both hands around his partner’s neck and choked her to a point where she reportedly could not breathe, leaving visible marks to her neck.
Bone also reportedly used a shard of broken glass to then allegedly lacerate Bone’s right wrist, causing a visible injury.
The argument then went into the kitchen and Bone allegedly picked up a tool box to strike his partner on the left side of her face, causing serious bodily injury requiring medical treatment.
Bone was taken into custody and transported to the jail.
Bond was not set as of press day.
