Sedrick Sims (right) was recognized as Como-Pickton CISD’s Elementary Student of the Month at the district’s Monday night board meeting. Elementary Principal Linda Rankin (left) described him as a “hard worker” with “a beautiful smile that he shares each and every day.”

Danica Wiggins (right) was recognized as Como-Pickton CISD’s Junior High Student of the Month at the district’s Monday night board meeting. Junior High Principal Cassandra Bland (left) applauded her as a “great student” who “is a friend to everyone.”

Cindy Muñoz (right) was recognized as Como-Pickton CISD High School Student of the Month at the district’s Monday night board meeting. High School Principal Kelly Baird (left) said, “Cindy always has a smile on her face. Whatever she does, she’s going to do it to the best of her ability.”

High school English teacher Shelly Anderson (right) was recognized as Como-Pickton CISD’s Teacher of the Month at the district’s Monday night board meeting. High School Principal Kelly Baird (left) said Anderson “sets the tone” for students on her bus route and “is always willing to step and help out where she can.”
