Como-Pickton CISD is proud to declare their valedictorian and salutatorian for the 2020 senior class. Como-Pickton's valedictorian is Makayla Teer and Sarah Tran is the salutatorian.

Makayla Teer, 18, of Sulphur Springs was named the 2020 Valedictorian for Como-Pickton ISD. She is the daughter of James Max and Eva Maria Teer. In high school, Makayla participated in basketball, track, band, One-Act Play, cheer, academic UIL, Spanish Club, Book Club, National Honors Society and Student Council. Makayla will be attending Texas A&M University-Commerce to major in biology and will be working on her prerequisites for medical school. She aims to become a surgeon. She has been awarded the TAMUC Honors College scholarship and the TAMUC Presidential scholarship.

Sarah Tran, 18, of Como was named the 2020 Salutatorian for Como-Pickton ISD. She is the daughter of Quynh Tran and Suong Tran. In high school, Sarah participated in band, One-Act Play, UIL, Book Club and National Honors Society. Sarah plans on attending Texas A&M University-Commerce where she aims to earn a Bachelor of Arts in psychology. Sarah is a first-generation college student, and she has been awarded the TAMUC Honors College scholarship and the TAMUC Presidential scholarship.
