Mark your calendars for the Tira Community Christmas Party, which is coming up on Saturday, Dec. 14 at 6 p.m. at the Community Center. Brisket will be provided. Please bring a side dish and/or dessert and come enjoy a time of visiting with your neighbors. Santa will be stopping by to visit with the kids! Also, we will be collecting canned goods for the Tira Food Pantry.

The Tira City Council will meet at 6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 2 for the regular quarterly meeting and to decorate the Center for the holidays. The public is always welcome and encouraged to attend.

Robert and Yvonne Weir were blessed to keep their grandson Nicolaas for four days last week.

“He is lots of fun,” Yvonne Weir said.

His parents, Dustin and Natalie Weir, and the Campbell family walked to raise money for juvenile diabetes research in Fort Worth.

On Saturday evening, Yvonne Weir took Wes and Nico to the monster truck show at the Civic Center in Sulphur Springs.

“Our angels brought food, and Georgia Smith gave a money donation for the food pantry,” said Joyce Dodd.

Rylan, Brailon and Slaiden Joslin spent Friday night with us. They always enjoy playing on their riding toys outside and playing with “electronics” inside.

Chip and I went to Arkadelphia, Arkansas on Saturday to watch our granddaughter, Jaidyn, play Little Dribblers basketball. Malcolm and his friend and her family were there from Texas, too, along with Tiffany and Perry from Malvern, Arkansas.

Chip’s mother, Grace Vaughn, and our grandson, Kenden Joslin, and his girlfriend, Emma Hall, had lunch with us on Sunday.
