Jail transports, other activity

Rachel Lashun Anderson, 45, of Dallas was released from jail Friday on a $5,000 bond. She was booked in Nov. 11, 2019 on a bond forfeiture warrant for a probation violation on a charge of theft of property $750-$2,500, according to jail records.

Donnie Merle Martin, 37, of Sulphur Springs was released from jail Friday on a $50,000 bond. He was booked in Dec. 28, 2019 on charges of burglary of a habitation with intent to commit assault and public intoxication, according to jail records.

Joseph Ryan Sims, 31, of Sulphur Springs was released from jail Friday on a $20,000 bond. He was booked in Thursday on a charge of abandoning or endangering a child with criminal negligence, according to jail records.

Brittanie Marie Buffington, 26, of Winnsboro was arrested Friday on a charge of forgery against an elderly person. Her bond was set at $10,000, and she remained in custody as of press time Monday, according to arrest reports and jail records.

• Herd of cows out on State Highway 69 at Wolf Pen Creek at 9:23 a.m. Friday;

• Report of two dogs, one injured, showing up at a woman’s residence on County Road 3640 at 10:58 a.m. Friday;

• Report of a deer with a serious leg injury stuck in a fence on County Road 1178 at 12:38 p.m. Friday;

• Report of cows continually getting on a man’s land on FM 71 west at 1:14 p.m. Friday;

• Report of a dog tied to a telephone pole, possibly abandoned on County Road 4737 in Cumby at 2:57 p.m. Friday;

• Report of dogs back on a property on Depot Street in Cumby at 4:36 p.m. Friday;

• Report of a motor vehicle accident where a car struck a deer on FM 3109 at 5:59 p.m. Friday;

• Report of a cow out, possibly injured, on County Road 1158 at 9:48 a.m. Saturday;

• Cows and sheep out on FM 3389 at 11:55 a.m. Saturday. They were reported to be on the reporting party’s neighbor’s property at 12:21 p.m. Saturday;

• Three horses out on County Road 1222 in Cumby at 12:32 p.m. Saturday;

• Report of 20-30 goats out on State Highway 19 south at County Road 1165 at 1:15 p.m. Saturday;

• Red cow out on FM 69 south at County Road 2314 at 3:50 p.m. Saturday;

• Report of a sick or injured dog on State Highway 11 east at 3:55 p.m. Saturday;

• Thirty cows out on FM 1537, 2 miles west of FM 69 north at 7:57 a.m. Sunday;

• Black cow out on FM 2081 at County Road 1191 at 3:31 p.m. Sunday; and

• Four black cows out on County Road 1443 at 8:59 p.m. Sunday.
