The following reports are based on arrests conducted with reports filed by Sulphur Springs and Hopkins County law enforcement from 5:30 a.m. Friday to 7 a.m. Tuesday and included:
Alcohol-related arrests
None were reported.
Drug-related arrests
• 45-year-old Randy Hargrave of Cooper was arrested Jan. 8 for possession of a penalty group 1 controlled substance - greater than or equal to 4 grams, but less than 200 grams, tampering with or fabricating physical evidence and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon. No bond was set.
• 32-year-old Alexandria Green of Cincinnati, Ohio was arrested Jan. 8 for possession of a penalty group 1 controlled substance, greater than one gram, less than four. No bond was set.
• A 40-year-old Sulphur Springs woman was arrested Jan. 9 for possession of drug paraphernalia. No bond was set.
• A 32-year-old Sulphur Springs man was arrested Jan. 9 for possession of drug paraphernalia. No bond was set.
• 40-year-old Ricky Liebel of Sulphur Springs was arrested Jan. 9 for violating parole - possession of a penalty group 1 controlled substance - greater than or equal to 1 gram, less than 4 grams. No bond was set.
• Tyler Hightower, 35, of Omaha, Texas was arrested Jan. 11 for driving while under the influence (first offense), possession of a penalty group 3 controlled substance - less than 28 grams and possession of a penalty group 1 controlled substance, greater than 1 gram, less than 4. No bond was set.
Warrants, transfers and other activity
• Colton Hooten, 24, of Como, was arrested at 5:20 a.m. on Jan. 5 for failure to comply - sex offender duty to register. Bond was set at $25,000.
• Justen Saffel, 25, of Omaha, Texas, was arrested Jan. 7 at 11:33 a.m. for warrants on illegal dumping and intentional or knowing unauthorized discharge. No bond was set.
• Erik Williams, 38, of Cincinnati, Ohio, was arrested Jan. 8 for money laundering - greater than $30,000 but less than $150,000 and possession of marijuana, less than 2 ounces. No bond was set.
• 36-year-old Ronald Floyd of Cincinnati, Ohio was arrested Jan. 8 for money laundering - greater than $30,000 but less than $150,000 and possession of marijuana, less than two ounces. No bond was set.
• Markeithan Cleveland, 22, of Pittsburg, Texas was arrested Jan. 8 for theft of a firearm. No bond was set.
• Lee-Roy Luna, 32, of Sulphur Springs, was arrested Jan. 9 for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and public intoxication. No bond was set.
• Blake Gagliardi, 26, of Denton, Texas was arrested Jan. 11 at 12 p.m. for unauthorized use of motor vehicle, evading arrest with vehicle, a warrant for fraudulent use or possession of identifying information and a parole violation for dangerous drugs. Bond was not set.
• 41-year-old Joseph Billingsley was arrested Jan. 11 for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, possession of a penalty group 1 controlled substance, less than 1 gram and possessing identifying information, less than five items.
Hopkins County communications operators answered 834 non-emergency phone calls, 157 emergency calls and 229 calls for service. As of Tuesday morning, the county jail held 160 inmates.
