The following reports are based on arrests conducted with reports filed by Sulphur Springs and Hopkins County law enforcement from 5:30 a.m. Tuesday to 7 a.m. Friday and included:

Alcohol-related arrests:

There were none reported.

Drug-related arrests:

• A Sulphur Springs man, 18, was arrested on charges of possession of less than 1 gram of a penalty group 2 substance and possession of less than 2 ounces of marijuana 2:23 p.m. Tuesday. The officer performed a traffic stop because the man was allegedly speeding, and the office reportedly observed a marijuana odor upon making contact. On a search, a THC vape pen was allegedly located on the man, and a probable cause search reportedly found marijuana in the vehicle. No bond was set.

• Doris Rosamine Russell, 31, of Sulphur Springs was arrested 9:44 p.m. Thursday on a charge of possession of a penalty group 1 controlled substance. A traffic stop was performed for allegedly failing to display a visible license plate, and the office reportedly observed signs of nervousness from the driver and Russel, the passenger. Consent was granted to search the vehicle, and the office allegedly found a sewing kit containing a crystal-like substance reportedly believed to be methamphetamine. Russell was arrested and transported to Hopkins County Jail where staff allegedly located two additional clear baggies with a crystal-like substance that reportedly field-tested positive for methamphetamine. No bond was set.

• Carolyn Brumley, 39, of Sulphur Springs was arrested 5:32 p.m. Thursday on a charge of possession of between 1 to 4 grams of a penalty group 1 controlled substance. A traffic stop was performed because Brumley was allegedly speeding, and the office reportedly observed nervousness when he made contact. Upon a consent search of Brumley's vehicle, purse and wallet, the office allegedly located a sunglasses case which reportedly contained two glass pipes commonly used to smoke methamphetamine, two small clear baggies containing a crystal-like substances that reportedly field-tested for methamphetamine and miscellaneous drug paraphernalia.

Transfers, warrants and other activity:

• A Sulphur Springs man, 41, was arrested on a warrant for a charge of criminal trespass 1:39 p.m. Tuesday. Bond was set at $1,000.

• A charge for prohibited substance in a correctional facility was added for Blake Hill, 29, of Wills Point. No bond was set.

• Another charge of theft of a firearm was added for a 17-year-old Sulphur Springs woman after she allegedly admitted to knowing the location of an additional reportedly stolen firearm. No bond was set.

• Cris Glenn Brown was arrested 5:14 p.m. Wednesday on a warrant for assault/family violence with impeding breathway. Bond was set at $250,000.

Hopkins County communications operators answered 616 non-emergency phone calls, 62 calls for service and 113 emergency calls. From 5:30 a.m. Tuesday to 7 a.m. Friday, officers filed two offenses and conducted eight special patrols, no funeral escorts and 48 traffic stops. Seven people were booked into and 17 people released from county jail, which held 184 inmates at 5:30 a.m. Tuesday.
