SALTILLO — Awards were given out a recent assembly.
Senior Scholarships:
Two new scholarships started this were given to the Seniors that applied and chosen from the committee of each one:
The Justin Tully Memorial Scholarship was set up in memory of alumni Justin Tully who passed away with cancer this past year. This scholarship was set up from donations from his family, friends and classmates.
The Reta Eubanks Scholarship was set up in the memory of Saltillo’s well loved faculty member Reta Eubanks that passed away from cancer last year. This scholarship was set up from donations from the Saltillo ISD faculty, students and family.
Receiving awards were:
McKenna Gurley - Mirabeau B. Lamar Award of Excellence, Beta Nu Honorary Teacher Scholarship $100, Kerry W. Garmon Scholarship $2,000.
William Gurley - Reta Eubanks Memorial Scholarship $250, P.T.O/ Booster Scholarship $250, Mount Vernon Firefighters Corporation $2,000.
Andrew Redburn - Reta Eubanks Memorial Scholarship $250, Justin Tully Memorial Scholarship $1,000, Kerry W. Garmon Scholarship $2,000.
Raegan Speir - Justin Tully Memorial Scholarship $1,000, Finis & Onree Attlesey & Garland & Sweet Gamblin Scholarship $3500, Michael Teague Scholarship $2,500,Saltillo Blue & Gold FFA Scholarship $1,000.
