A 25-year-old woman from Pine Bluff, Ark. was arrested at 1:17 p.m. Monday during a DPS traffic stop on Interstate 30 at mile marker 129 on charges of failing to identify by giving false information and possession of less than 2 ounces of marijuana.

The woman was a passenger in a vehicle stopped for a traffic violation.

During contact, the trooper reportedly smelled the odor of burned marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. The woman allegedly told the trooper she did not have identification with her. The trooper reportedly asked the driver what the woman’s name was, and he gave a name. The woman then reportedly gave the trooper a different name. The trooper reportedly advised the woman her fiancé had given her correct name.

When asked if she was being untruthful, the woman reportedly confirmed the name her fiancé gave was her real name. She further stated she did so because she had an active warrant out of Arkansas, but no warrants showed to be issued.

The trooper reportedly conducted a probable cause search of the vehicle and located a partially smoked marijuana cigar under the passenger seat. The woman was also charged with possession of marijuana.

Bond was set at $3,000, and the woman was released from jail Tuesday, according to reports.
